Still not using AI for ad creative?

Then here is a list of the tools we use ourselves!

Explaining why agencies use AI almost feels outdated: everyone knows the obvious advantages — fast, inexpensive and effective.

Instead, let us discuss a less obvious advantage of AI-generated creative: protection.

Why this matters

Imagine this: you organised a photo shoot with employees to feature them in your ads. You designed banners in every format, added photos to the landing page, bought sponsored posts and handed everything to a contractor for advertising. It is peak season, everything is going to plan, and then you receive that message:

I want to be removed from the ads. I never gave my consent.

Yes, that happens if you forget to obtain the necessary legal consent to show your employees online.

An AI-generated courier, on the other hand, will not object to appearing in ads several months after changing employers.

Real photo shoots are great, but we think it is worth having a backup.

Our subjective list of favourite AI tools for ad creative

ChatGPT and Sora

They understand context very well. You can provide a couple of photos you like as references and create similar images in the same genre.

For better results, ask for a prompt to generate similar photos in Sora, then take the prompt there.

Midjourney

It also produces excellent results. To get to grips with it, though, you need to ask text models for prompts. You cannot talk to it in everyday language as you would to an assistant: you have to edit prompts and regenerate results.

In ChatGPT, for example, you can write directly in the chat: “The image is good, but I would like to change the angle a little and add professional lighting” — and get the corresponding result. That will not work in Midjourney.

Shedevrum by Yandex

A cheap-and-cheerful option. It does portraits well. In principle, it can handle most simple tasks. Complex scenes are another matter.

There are plenty of AI tools now. Choose whichever you like best, and make sure you use them!
